Our video-photography light is a fantastic way to bring some vivid color into your underwater photos without the cost and complexity of using strobes. Especially if you are shooting with ambient light you'll find that using our light as fill light will help to get rid of shadows around holes, ledges, or crevices making the most of every shot.
Take it on your next SCUBA diving adventure and see for yourself!

If you SCUBA dive and haven't been capturing your adventures because of the cost and complexity of underwater photography rigs, this light is for you!

Mounted or handheld this super bright SCUBA diving photography and video light is very manageable at about four and a half inches long (11.2 cm), but it packs a powerful punch, its 180 watts illuminating 300 to 500 meters, depending on conditions, with a 120 degree beam angle and good to a depth of 80 meters.  It includes settings at three levels of intensity for the white light as well as an all blue and all red feature for taking the best photos.

TIPS FOR USING THE UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY LIGHT:

TIP #1: Shoot the subject with the light facing it filling in the shadows that would otherwise darken it.  If the light is straight over the top you may end up with harsh, linear shadows.

TIP #2: Do not light from below unless you are going for a spooky effect lighting from below will give the subject an unnatural look because the shadows will be in reverse from what we are used to seeing objects lit from the sun.

TIP #3: Don't Blow out the highlights, if you get the light too close the white highlights in your subject will get blown out and there is no real way to fix this later in photoshop or other editing tool.

TIP #4: By using the edge of the cone of light for your subject without illuminating any extra water you can minimize backscatter which is when your photos have little white dots caused when particles in the water are lit up by your light and is especially when you have open water above and behind your subject.
