Our Ghillie Suits are made from a high quality cotton acetate corduroy and come in brown for Fall and Winter and Green for Spring and Summer. They are perfect for hunting, wildlife photography and the military.

Hunter, Photographer or Soldier

These high quality ghillie suits are extremely effective in camouflaging its wearer. A ghillie-suited hunter, photographer or soldier sitting perfectly still with local flora attached to their webbing is nearly impossible to detect visually, even at close range. 

Gille is a Celtic word for a young men who do outdoor work including professional stalkers and gamekeepers. "Ghillie" is a misspelling. The term "Ghillie suit" may be a reference to Gille Dubh the "Dark Lad" or "Black Lad", an Earth Spirit who is clothed in leaves and moss in Scottish mythology.

The Lovat Scouts (above) were a Scottish Highland regiment formed by Lord Lovat, Simon Fraser, during the Boer Wars. They are the first known military unit to use ghillie suits and in 1916 went on to become the British Army's first sniper unit.
