Dogfighter Pilot Jacket

This Dogfight Pilot Jacket captures the purity of its deep military history. Our Dogfighter Pilot Jacket has been updated for the modern man without losing any of the high quality workmanship of the original.

Modeled on the classic pilot jackets issued to British and American Airmen during WWII it features a left side snap-flap patch pocket, turn-down collar, zipper enclosure, shoulder straps “epaulets”, knit cuffs and waistband, a back constructed from a single piece fabric to limit stress on the garment, and a cotton inner lining and a trim fit. 

Our Dogfighter Pilot Jacket comes in solid Black, Navy, Khaki, Army Green and Denim Blue, it’s windproof construction includes a thermal cotton lining and is a perfect year round jacket. 

The Pilot Jacket was a treasured item to the airman and was worn with as much pride as his wings. As airmen progressed through various duty stations they often added and removed squadron patches, rank marks, and occasionally elaborate artwork depicting the type of aircraft they flew or a copy of the artwork painted on their airplane. Bomber crews often added small bombs to the right front of their jackets indicating the number of missions they had flown. Some jackets had a map of the mission area sewn into the lining, which, in theory, could be used for navigation if shot down.
